A newsletter I receive from Doctor Al Sears, MD  gives some great insight into the harms of sun protection and some food/ supplemental alternatives.  What You Need to Know About Sunscreen Natural beauty secrets and What’s Really in Your Sunscreen Natural beauty secrets.  These articles are not mainstream media and are interesting despite the products being sold.

Stones have been used since ancient times to help balance and heal the body. Each stone has unique properties that can help create harmony and the feeling of wholeness on a very deep level.   Warm stones open the pores to the skin to receive the nutrients of each product used as well as assist in deep relaxation.  Cool Stones close the pores and invigorate the skin.  A warm stone facial massage is a completely new and unique experience.

Fall is the best time to receive corrective peels due to less exposure and intensity of the sun.  These treatments are more aggressive and result oriented correcting fine lines, break outs, and hyperpigmentation. A peel will leave the skin feeling refreshed, plump, clearer and lighter.

There are many types and strengths of Corrective Peels.  The PH as well as the percentage of the acid affects how deep the peel will penetrate the skin.  As an Esthetician, our scope of practice allows us to work with lighter peels.  The strengths and depths of these peels will require less down time and the best results are received with a series of peels that are administered over a period of time. After a peel, the skin may turn pink to red. Within 24-48 hours skin may slightly shed old,dead skin cells and last for a couple of days.  It is best to repeat a treatment every 2 weeks until desired results are attained.

Peels consist of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (glycolic acid), Beta Hydroxy Acids (salacylic acid), lactic acid, other acids or fruit enzymes to treat specific skin care concerns.

Organic Peptide Peel: A papaya, pineapple, pumpkin, and mango infused blend of organic and medically effective ingredients  naturally rebalances, regenerates, restores, and soothes your skin.

TCA Orange Peel: TCA/salacylic acid peel that aggressively treats aging and sun damaged skin.
